The border between Ukraine and Poland symbolizes the critical moment in their lives, where every decision can lead to a new destiny or a return to the past.This drama dives into themes of identity, resilience, and belonging in a conflict-ridden world. More than a story of war, “Borderline” reflects the human spirit’s incredible ability to adapt and evolve under extreme conditions. It offers an intimate glimpse into the ongoing Ukrainian conflict through the eyes of those living through it, celebrating the incredible strength of women who continuously overcome life’s boundaries, both real and metaphorical.

Вистава «Borderline» була створена у Варшаві в театрі «Рампа» у кооперації з театральною фундацією Malabar Hotel. Останній показ відбувся у березні 2023 року. Акторки, які беруть участь у постанові вистави, приїхали до Варшави після повномасштабного вторгнення Росії в Україну у ​​2022 році.

Постанова «Borderline» — це подорож у внутрішній світ жінки, яка стоїть на межі, жінки в ситуації стабільної нестабільності, яка намагається опинитися у чоловічому світі війни та політики. Кордон, лінія, бар’єр жінок, яких війна забирає з власного життя. Перетин кордону означає прийняти інше, нове життя та залишити старе назавжди.

«Що далі? Що мені робити?»

Це питання ставлять собі героїні та кожна з них шукає свою відповідь, наважується на наступний крок та робить власний вибір.

LENA HOLOSIY

film and theater director, studied at the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and TV. From 2024 she lives in Warsaw. Studied at SWPS in the Laboratory of new theatrical practices.

Over the past year, as a director, she created the play “Borderline” with the theater “Rampa”, released the documentary  film “While the War Going On” and directed the visual content in the performance “Top 10 Events of 2022 – Disappearing Ranking”, which took place at the Drama Theater in Warsaw. She is the co-founder of the “Creative studios” foundation, which aims to involve children, teenagers and everyone willing to do socially important projects in the field of culture.

Режисерка кіно та театру, навчалася у КНУТКіТ ім. Карпенка-Карого. З 2024 року проживає у Варшаві. Навчалася у SWPS в лабораторії нових театральних практик.За останній рік як режисерка створила виставу «Borderline» з театром «Рампа», випустила документальний фільм «Поки йде війна» та поставила візуальний контент у виставі «Top 10 Events of 2022 – Disappearing Ranking», яка відбулася у Драматичному театрі у Варшаві. Вона є співзасновницею фонду «Творчі студії», метою якого є залучення дітей, підлітків та всіх, хто бажає долучитись до суспільно важливих проєктів у сфері культури.
