Boris Bond follows the call of the West Balkan mountain ranges and the waves of Southern California. While our foundation is rooted in classic surf sound and instrumental surf music is a major influence, the music of Bosnia—where one of our guitarists was born and raised—and punk (every member has a punk band background) are just as vital to our musical DNA. Our mission is to capture moods, play with them, and spark cinematic daydreams. That’s why our debut album is called “Sounds of Movies Never Made” (released by Surf Cookie Records, Greece).
A friend once commented on their demo video:
“This is the perfect music for world peace… Eastern scales and American instruments, peacefully and harmoniously in love!”
Los Apollos play instrumental music between surf and film soundtracks since 2010: exotic guitar melodies meet driving rhythms “in Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” Mysterious bass lines merge with harmonies from a galaxy far, far away – cinematic surf music!
Founded somewhere between the beach and a backyard cinema, the Berlin trio brings its music to any stage – whether it’s a small club or an international festival. The three surfers focus on variety rather than purism: classic genre hits, Exotica, soul, and alternative rock are just as much a part of their influences as Ennio Morricone, Peter Thomas, and other greats of film music. The result is music that is both retro and futuristic, dreamy and infectious. But the top priority is that it must be danceable!

Boris Bond folgt dem Ruf der Berglandschaften Westbalkans und der Wellen Südkaliforniens. Obwohl wir klassischen Surfsound haben und instrumentale Surfmusik zu unseren wichtigsten Einflüssen gehört, sind Musik aus Bosnien, wo einer unserer Gitarristen geboren und aufgewachsen ist, und Punk (alle Mitglieder spielten vorher in Punkbands) auch ein wesentlicher Bestandteil unserer musikalischen Handschrift. Unsere Mission ist es, Stimmungen einzufangen, mit ihnen zu spielen und ins Kopfkino zu bringen. Daher heißt unser Debut „Sounds of Movies Never Made“(veröffentlicht von Surf Cookie Records, Griechenland).
Man schrieb als Kommentar zu dem Demovideo: „Das ist die perfekte Musik für den Weltfrieden… östliche Tonleiter und Ami-Instrumente friedlich und harmonisch verliebt!“
Los Apollos spielen seit 2010 instrumentale Musik zwischen Surf und Filmsoundtrack: Exotische Gitarrenmelodien treffen auf treibende Rhythmen „im Geheimdienst ihrer Majestät.“ Mysteriöse Basslinien verbinden sich mit Harmonien aus einer weit entfernten Galaxis – Cinematic Surf Music! Gegründet irgendwo zwischen Badestrand und Hinterhofkino bringt das Berliner Trio seine Musik auf jede Bühne – egal ob kleiner Club oder internationales Festival. Die drei Surfer setzen dabei auf Abwechslung statt Purismus: Klassische Genrehits, Exotica, Soul und Indie gehören genauso zu ihren Einflüssen wie Ennio Morricone, Peter Thomas und andere Größen der Filmmusik. Es entsteht eine Musik die zugleich retro und futuristisch ist, träumerisch und mitreißend. Die oberste Maxime aber lautet: Tanzbar muss es sein!
