Daniil Adasinskiy With deep sorrow, we share the news that our friend and colleague, Daniel Adasinsky, has passed away. It is hard to find the right words - everything feels too dry, too imprecise. Since 2013, Daniel (Danya) has been actively involved in organizational work as a volunteer, technical administrator, and art director. From 2018 to 2024, he also served as the second chairperson of PANDA platforma. His contributions played a significant role in elevating the professionalism and quality of our work. Recently, he had been going through a difficult time, but we all hoped that a way forward would be found. The news of his passing came as a terrible shock to us. At this moment, it is impossible to make plans, to think about creativity, or to focus on work. Nothing will ever be the same again. We extend our sincere condolences to Danya’s wife, his family, and his friends....

The powerful duo of legendary, world-renowned guitar virtuosos Omar Torrez and Eric McFadden performs in PANDA platforma on July 7th.

Omar Torrez’s musical recipe is equal parts post-modern rock, Mexican and Cuban Son, and gutbucket blues, spiced with stunning guitar wizardry, and soulful songwriting. Besides his own band shows, he is best known as Tom Waits’ guitarist on the Glitter & Doom world tour. Torrez has shared the stage with Buena Vista Social Club, Jethro Tull, Tony Levin, Bill Laswell, Kinky, Sidestepper, Pancho Sanchez, Mumiy Troll, Francisco Aguabella and collaborated with a legendary Russian singer Boris Grebenshikov. Torrez’s record “A Night of Serious Drinking” was produced by the Tony Berg, also known as an “industry guru” for his collaborations with Michael Penn, Bob Dylan, Pink, and others.

Hailing from the crossroads of the Southwest and the heart of New Mexico, Eric McFadden has crafted a rare and enticing brand of high desert blues and gritty, flamenco-infused rock that leaves listeners spellbound. He has toured the world both as a solo artist, as well as with funk legend George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic), rock legend Eric Burdon (The Animals), supergroup, Stockholm syndrome, and New Orleans favorite, Anders Osborne. Eric McFadden has also collaborated with the regal likes of Bo Diddley, Keb Mo’, Living Colour, Joe Strummer (The Clash), Nels Cline (Wilco), Bonnie Rait, Bill Kruetzman (Grateful Dead), Ron Wood, Bernard Fowler & Chuck Leavel (Rolling Stones), Pink, Fishbone and many more.

Since Torrez and McFadden met in Mexico at the Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival, they joined forces and lit up the stages with their sheer musical energy.

Far more than two extraordinary guitarists, Omar Torrez, and Eric McFadden are an experience: a feisty combination of talent and sheer musical energy that leaves no one untouched.

The show will be opened by Kate Vargas, an alternative singer-songwriter from New York, whose poetic lyricism is inspired by Tom Waits and Nina Simone.
