Massimiliano di Carlo and Valentina Bellanova propose a concert centered around the improvisational codes of the traditional music of their origin (the music of the Central Apennines and the sonority of the Adriatic for Massimiliano and Turkish/Greek music for Valentina). The concert leaves behind Western forms of entertainment to create a sonorous flow inspired by the ritual forms still active in Central and Southern Italy and the whole Mediterranean Middle East. On these occasions the music flows through modal improvisations, without a rigidly predetermined form, the audience can listen stretched out, seated, dancing, enjoying a drink. A true sound ritual that does not guide the listener’s emotions arbitrarily and entertainingly, but leaves perceptive space to notice corporeal sensations, intuitive introspection, and creative visions. In this concert, the Duo will be joined by the percussion virtuoso Péter Somos (Hungary).
