HOMIE: Neo-Soul / Hip-Hop / Jazz

HOMIE is a Berlin based band which connects elements of Hip-Hop, Jazz and Neo-Soul into a unique crossover sound. Spacy and dreamy chords come along with energetic grooves on which Maura (DE), rapper/singer of the band, adds her honey dripping voice and lyrics. In 2015 Maura released her first Vinyl EP Beats Vers_s Bad Karma. With her solo set she became a well-known name in the local Hip-Hop scene. In 2017 she teamed up with some of Berlin’s finest jazz musicians who share her passion for Hip-Hop: Pier Ciaccio (IT) on drums, Or Rozenfeld (IL) on bass and Tobias Meyer (DE) on e-guitar. The band played in well known venues in Berlin and in Germany like Cassiopeia, Funkhaus, Olympic stadium of Munich, Cony Island and a lot more. Also, they warmed up for the international Hip-Hop icon Illa J in Leipzig. J. Recently the band recorded their first studio EP which will be released this summer 2019.
