The documentary performance “Frau N” is based on an interview taken in 2013 by Artur Solomonov with a senior resident of Berlin, whose life path completely came along with the destiny of Nazi Germany: a fascination with Hitler and National Socialism, involvement in all initiatives and activities (except military service), national catastrophe and gradual awareness of the crime.
The relevance of the memories of an elderly German woman, in the description of small, everyday details, as well as in major events of the past, is almost implausible.

The leading role in the documentary performance will be played by Olga Romanova, in the role of journalist performs Alexander Pluschev.

Olga Romanova:

“This play was created by professionals by the playwright, the director, the producer, the journalist. They revolved around me like planets naturally, not realizing what all this staging is about. However, if being more precise, this planetary rotation didn’t take place exactly around me, but around the old German lady – Frau N. And I also beat my head on trying to understand what life and fascism are. And why do we need all this…”

Alexander Pluschev:

“After getting used to the fact that even interviews with the most famous and popular people live for a week as a maximum, a review of a ten-year-old conversation with a completely ordinary layperson looks at the same time as an eccentricity and a miracle. This conversation turns out to become more relevant than many other modern talks. Although it may not give you straight answers, it certainly won’t let you escape the questions about the invisibility of the obvious, and the unwillingness to learn from the mistakes of others. It’s also about the firm confidence that the troubles happening in front of our eyes with others will just bypass our own life.”

Документальный спектакль “Frau N” создан на основе интервью Артура Соломонова, взятого десять лет назад у пожилой жительницы Берлина, судьба которой полностью совпала с судьбой нацистской Германии.
Фрау N боготворила Гитлера, вступила в “Гитлерюгенд”, поехала “осваивать” окуппированные нацистами польские территории… А потом Германия проиграла войну, Берлин был превращен в руины, и фрау N начала медленно и болезненно осознавать масштаб совершенного ее страной преступления.

Актуальность высказывания пожилой немки, как в описании мелких, бытовых деталей, так и глобальных событий прошлого – почти неправдоподобна.

Ольга Романова:

“Эту пьесу создавали профессионалы. Драматург, режиссер, продюсер, журналист.
Они как планеты вращались вокруг меня – не знающей, что такое сцена. Хотя нет, не вокруг меня. Вокруг немецкой старушки Фрау N. И я тоже долбилась об неё головой, пытаясь понять, что такое жизнь и фашизм. И за что нам всё это…”

Александр Плющев:

“Когда привыкаешь, что интервью даже с самыми известными и востребованными публикой людьми живет от силы неделю, обращение к разговору десятилетней давности с совершенно рядовым и никому не известным человеком выглядит одновременно и чудачеством, и чудом. Этот разговор оказывается поактуальнее многих нынешних: он, возможно, не даст ответов, но точно не даст уйти от вопросов о незаметности очевидного, о нежелании учиться на чужих ошибках и о твердой уверенности, что нас никогда не постигнут те беды, которые на наших глазах произошли с другими.”
