Коли ми малювали портрети жителів Східної України, людей, які стали нам близькими, ніхто не знав, що через кілька років на них чекають обстріли, бомбардування та евакуація. Їхні міста будуть розбомблені та зруйновані. Багатьох із них прийме Німеччина та інші країни, їм доведеться вивчати незнайомі мови і знову шукати себе.

 

Олена Клочко та Алан Меєр представляють серію портретів мешканців Східної України. У процесі створення ніхто не міг уявити, що у майбутньому на цих людей чекає повномасштабна війна і їм знову прийдеться шукати себе у інших країнах.

When we painted portraits of the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine, people who have become close to us, no one knew that in a few years, they would be shelled, bombed, and evacuated. Their cities would be destroyed and mined. Many of them will be evacuated in by Germany and other countries, they will have to learn unfamiliar languages and find themselves again.

Olena Klochko and Alan Meyer present a portrait series of the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine. During the creation process, no one could imagine that people who had become close to artists would be shelled, bombed, and evacuated only a few years later.
