A central feature of improvisational culture is the permanent mixing of the players in ever new combinations – in this way the music remains constantly in flux. However, there are also bands that deepen themselves over the long term and constantly evaluate their vocabulary and the mechanisms of their music. Klare, Müller, Kneer and Marien leave this question undecided-open ended, with the band name’s number indicating the progress of the process.

Ein zentrales Merkmal der Improvisationskultur ist die permanente Durchmischung der Akteure in immer neuen Kombinationen – auf diese Weise bleibt die Musik stetig im Fluss. Jedoch gibt es auch Bands, die sich langfristig vertiefen und ihr Vokabular und die Mechanismen ihrer Musik stetig evaluieren. Klare, Müller, Kneer, Marien lassen es drauf ankommen – sozusagen Ende offen.
