PANDA Platforma
Knaackstraße 97 (im kleinen Hof der Kulturbrauerei), 10435 Berlin

Black box – as a theatrical space in some ways is the opposite of white cube – a traditional exhibition space. The installation “White Crow” is meant as a reaction to an unusual place because Panda is a particular place in every sense. A flock of Berlin crows will temporarily settle inside the theatre, dissolve in it, and at the same time fill it with internal sound and rhythm. There are two types of crows in Berlin: black crows are Western European and grey ones come from Eastern Europe. Our flock will also include a few white crows (a traditional symbol of the exception to the rule, comparable to the black sheep in many cultures). Fortunately, these rare birds are found everywhere, regardless of geography and politics…

The installation is a part of #PANDAkesher Project, funded by Limmud FSU Labs.
