::: DEU ::: Black Box als Theaterraum ist in gewisser Weise das Gegenteil von White Cube als Ausstellungsraum. Die Installation ‘White Crow’ ist für einen außergewöhnlichen Ort konzipiert, denn Panda ist in jeder Hinsicht ein besonderer Ort. Ein Schwarm Berliner Krähen wird sich vorübergehend im Theater niederlassen, sich darin auflösen und es gleichzeitig mit innerem Klang und Rhythmus erfüllen. In Berlin gibt es zwei Arten von Krähen: schwarze Krähen aus Westeuropa und graue Krähen aus Osteuropa. Zu unserer Schar werden auch einige weiße Krähen gehören (ein traditionelles Symbol für die Ausnahme von der Norm, vergleichbar mit dem schwarzen Schaf in der deutschen Kultur.).
Zum Glück gibt es diese seltenen Vögel überall, unabhängig von Geografie und Politik…

::: ENG ::: Black box – as a theatrical space in some ways is the opposite of white cube – a traditional exhibition space. The installation “White Crow” is meant as a reaction to an unusual place because Panda is a particular place in every sense. A flock of Berlin crows will temporarily settle inside the theatre, dissolve in it, and at the same time fill it with internal sound and rhythm. There are two types of crows in Berlin: black crows are Western European and grey ones come from Eastern Europe. Our flock will also include a few white crows (a traditional symbol of the exception to the rule, comparable to the black sheep in many cultures). Fortunately, these rare birds are found everywhere, regardless of geography and politics…
The installation is a part of #PANDAkesher Project, funded by Limmud FSU Labs.

::: RUS ::: Black box – как театральное пространство в некотором роде является противоположностью white cube – пространства выставочного. Инсталляция «Белая ворона» задумывается, как реакция на необычное место, ведь Панда во всех смыслах – место особенное. Стая берлинских ворон временно поселится в театре, растворится в нём и одновременно наполнит его внутренним звуком и ритмом. В Берлине встречается два типа ворон: черные – западноевропейские и серые – восточноевропейские. В нашей стае будет еще и несколько белых ворон (традиционного символа исключения из правил).
К счастью, эти редкие птицы встречаются везде, вне зависимости от географии и политики…
